lol at the begining i was thinking about bringing but as being a fat bloke i would be the one sitting in front of it and cooking for you all, so no bbg ---> drifting only... + pod ppl might hate me...

I was thinking more along the lines of a disposable bbq, that way you miss the min amount of drift time and can only cook so much.
And pod people would be fine with it - everytime there's a show on, countless people have BBQ's, whats one more?

Pm chopperhead, he said he wanted one.

Also, just stick up a thread in 'other stuff' someone will have it.

Don't forget to take plenty of suncream if the weather's like today, folks. I've been to shows at Pod before in hot weather and got absolutely scorched. No real shade, see.

Not fun.

I put my down for this event, no.25 or there abouts, and so far the list stands at about 26 out of 50 cars attending. Thing is today I phoned up to pay for my slot and was told that they are fully booked. Now this is going to be annoying if Im unable to come as I have now booked time off work and made preperations to attend next Wednesday.

Can the organiser of this thread please let me know if the day is fully booked or whether Im able to pay for my slot that I clearly put my down for.

It seems this thread isnt kept up to date with Santa Pod and the're latest bookings.......

suprash - you can't reserve yourself a ticket by putting your name in a list, you have to buy the ticket, then put your name down, also, as you've seen, lots of people don't stick their names down. its not down to Lex to keep the thread up to date on how many places there are left. First come first served

Pm jayz, about 6 posts up, he can't make it.

Sorry, my misunderstanding then, I thought like the Lydd days that this is the main place where spaces are booked, as with the Lydd its no good going to Lydd directly as they will let no number of people turn up, so presumed this run the same format to keep numbers managable. But now I dont see the point in the list on this thread at all then, you might as well just post a closed thread with a date informing people of when and the telephone number to book

PM'd Jayz though just in case.....

This thread is so people know who else is going, who else to look out for and also to ask any questions about the actual skidding and marshalling, as santa pod dont have that information

We'll be having a bbq there like we did last time, BBQ's and skidding rocks ass

I seriously can't wait for wednesday! I usually fill up my tank for the journey and take 2 jerry cans spare (£10 approx) and chuck them both in before setting off home, and that seems to take me upto friday

Need to get rid of some tyres heh heh! Bring on the fun

Probably fill the tank here and my jerry can incase.

Got 4 wheels and tyres, plus tools and MazdaChris's tools and wheels to lump into my car as well as a coolbox of supplies

Poor car but limited on runs since i've got only 2 sets of tyres and no cash for any more. Though i do have a further 4 tyres and another rim (nail in tyre) I'd rather limit the wear on the car as a whole so i hopefully won't break anything

Need the car on a daily basis

Silverfang - I'm trying to get my damned car lowered and ready for wednesday, everything seems to be hanging on a tap and die setting arriving from ebay ASAP! I can also get you tyres if needs be, 15" I assume? But not rims of course...

Joker, I'm glad to hear it! Thats damned good postal service tbh, first class yesterday afternoon, arrived today!

I've filled up 1 jerry can already in prep, but if I can get my new fuel tank fitted before then, I'll not need it!

It is fully booked

We hold back around 10 tickets for people to pay on the day as people often dont turn up cos skid cars crash, blow up and sometime even catch fire

So far around 3 people have said they plan to pay on the day

14s actually and I've got 4 spare tyres at home. Though i've gotta limit my running for the day since i can't risk putting too much strain on the car.

Once i'm earning though I'll be able to run maybe a full 2 sets of tyres

Presently I have 7 drift wheels, ALMOST 2 sets, just need to find 1 more steel at the scrappy and I'll be done!

So, if I can get them, do you want a pair of tyres?
