DWYB @ Pod - Beginner's Drift day 9th July - Page 10 - Drifting forum

What an absolutly awesoem day despite teh weather! Was my first DWYB and im well happy with my results in my mx5. Managed to pull 3rd a couple of times on the big track which i was happy about even if it did lead to a spin lol. Absolutley shattered now though!! Being up for near enough 21 hours does that after driving 400 miles and skidding all day! But it was well worth teh effort. And i will definatley be doing mroe in the future!

Its all about the seat time

Cant wait for the pics

what a day.
thanks to the marshals and lex of course..
got better towards the end and could link the edc quite well.
van died on the way home so not so good but at least the new engine seems good.

weather, my shoes socks, jeans, jacket and part of my jumper and t-shirt where soaked through

finally dry today lol. fingers crossed it'll be dry next time

Still had a great day, no hassle changing tyres just used same tyres saved loads of money. But car gave up end of day at 3.30pm i blew my bottom end big time

Had to get it recovered, but worked out well, as whilst i was waiting Mr Stevo(ownes cream s14/s15) passed by and had good chat with him, recovery people turned up well quick got them to take it back to Garage-D in watford where Julian's going to do 2.5rb engine and gearbox conversion

, then meet Gary(pro driver) at the garageD who was kind enough to give me lift home all the way back to welwyn, so had a great day drifting and meeting new faces, .....its great the way drifters help each other out.

Mark, thanks for taking me out for my initial drive around the EDC track, can't believe neither of us saw your bumper fly off!

Sorry to hear about the car giving up, but what a perfect excuse to 'upgrade' now!

Fantastic day, cheers everyone, the weather didnt spoil it. Just got used to being damp, lol...
Had a chance to drift my mates RB25 S13 and apart from overheating issues it was pretty awesome!!!

My car is running poo. I went for a ride with a guy in a red non turbo Silvia, who are you? I need info on your mods if you dont mind - I need to get mine running like yours! It would be nice to get out of first gear when skidding....

Ill be there on the 13/08

As the Other cardiff boys have said, was an Epic trip leaving cardiff around 4am

but the though of a day of drifting and random comments being shouted down walkie talkies kept us going, regardless of the rain!
I was amazed at the size of the place and the mixture of tracks

As it's been said good job to everbody involved

I had an amazing day drifting, learn a stupid amount, left with 2 new drift scars

can't wait to see everybody pics

Well damage report is

£115 on petrol

(360 miles to the pod n home then whatever on the track)

Slipping clutch

subframe bushes are all gone

But overall top day cant do another till september but loved it all the same

I had a really good day, was my first DWYB day and apart from the rain it was great, though I'm pleased it was raining as I forgot my wheel socket so only had the tyres I came on, (which were my good ones
