Drift demo at Brands Hatch

Long time backers of drift team and drivers, Auto Glym. sponsored a 2 day event for historic cars at Brands over the weekend (28 +29th)
This gave the chance to show the crowd a few laps of Brands DRIFT style
Mr Pimms, Declan Hicks in his Soarer, Stiggy in the Starlet, and Long distance traveller Mitch with his 180sx,
Auto Glym setting about Mitchs car with all there shiny stuff on the stand.

Due to 1 of the historics doing a stiggy (in the kitty litter) the 40 min demo was reduced to 20 but that was still enough time to get the tyres 'lit up' for the crowd,
The Brands Hatch people allowed us time on the Mic to chat to the crowd (which aint easy)
The tyre smoke trophy goes to mitch for the Sat run including a 'victory doughnut' on the hairpin,
The lads are back today (Stiggy having to do a headgasket)Sunday.
Simon Tang should be running his Toyota Corolla Sunday.
Once again Drifters helping to promote the sport, well done guys.

Yep wheres the pics??

Was a great weekend, Sundays session was huuuge, first lap I popped a boost hose, fixed it in one lap then out pretty much non stop just watching the temp gauges but all was good so I kept going for a good 20 min plus session. I squueezed in a fast lap too just to see what the Soarer would do

4th gear through surtees & linking it through to clearways was immense, 4th gear ftw

Druids was a like being in a photo booth, everyone stood at the edge of the fence with lenses, of course the obligatory wave or two was on order.

A great event & definately petrolhead nirvana, with all them Judd & Cosworth DFV V8's out on track during the day.

Big thanks to Tom, Mitch & Si for doing a great job & standing in at short notice due to the Brett & Buff being away on "hols"
