Its good at Oultonpark BUT veryslow i think.

Wish they could sort a bit of space maybe in the LARGE CARPARK FOR DRIFTING ON DRY UN POLISHED TARMAC

TBH I doubt that it would happen on the main circuit. Most trackdays now run open pitlane and any other format tends to put people off and in any case, I doubt that MSV would allow drifting on the main circuit at Oulton or Cadwell due to the proximity of a lot of the barriers!

Might be an option at Bedford where the runoff is much greater but it's usually only available for evening sessions which are then restricted on noise

I've lost track of how many times I've asked MSV about using the car park etc as somewhere to practice. I've always hinted that there is nothing to progress onto in the northwest.

Theres more chance of the second coming of christ I would say though.

However on a positive note its taken 12 months but they are letting them run the rally section dry which is a massive bonus. One more session cleaning the blanket of s**t the mud leaves on the car (and any crevis underneath the car) was too much for me and kept me away for a while.

I guess that some aspects of the drift course at Oulton will never fit in with the mainstream drift scene but it's a fun day out and a chance to practice on a different surface and type of course than usual - and maybe MSV will be persuadable over time........

The Driftworks discount is now set up for bookings so lets have a few more names down

Info packs have now been sent out by email to alll drivers, if you have not received yours please let me know ASAP!

Don't forget that we need a list of driver and passenger names by tomorrow night (Tuesday) so we can get them to MSV to get the free entry into the circuit - if you are not on the list it's £12 to get in

There are still a couple of places left on this if anyone wants to join us

--new to drifting, have a stock 200sx. Been out once in it, wasn't so flash, need more practice...

There's a couple of spaces left at the moment - no increase in price so still £140 for the day including one guest/passenger.

Go to this link Trackaction Online - Cart: Oulton Park 2nd August 2008 Drift Day and get it booked! We've got a couple of 200s already booked in so you'll be in good company!

Please PM me once you are booked with your name and the name of your passenger if you are bringing one as we need to do a list of names to get free entry at the gate cos there is a race meeting on the main circuit on Saturday. Don't hang about cos we are playing at Croft all day tomorrow and time is getting short
