| August 23rd Drifting Trackday - Lydden Hill Race Circuit!!!!!!!!!!! 23rd August Drifting Trackday @ Lydden Hill, Kent Hopefully I am giving you all a bit more notice this time round for our next trackday on August 23rd. You will get (as on July 5th) 8 x 15min sessions throughout the day (x1 session every hour) We will run four classes in 15min sessions every hour. These consist of usual track driving in novice, intermediate and advanced groups. We have the fourth class available to dedicated drifting of all levels. The day costs £125 which is cheaper than our usual trackdays. I know this is higher than other events but you must remember that the venue is an international racing circuit up to the best standards and regulations. You are already receiving a discounted rate and the circuit must cover its own costs of ambulances, medics, recovery, marshalls, etc which not all venues provide. This event is open to anyone of any driving ability as long as you hold a current UK driving license so beginners are welcome. You must ensure that your car is in safe working order and complies to our noise regs of 105db. You must have a crash helmet (available for hire if required) and ensure you are wearing long sleeved and trousered clothing. There will be tyre changing facilities available on the day. Please post ASAP if you are interested like normal, but please book with Lydden Hill also to confirm your place. 01304 830557. ![]() |

I've really enjoyed BDC and its brought me on loads but the thought of going all that way for a few hours of track time when I can get as much seat time as I can manage on a full track at Lydden is more appealling to me to be honest! I need the practice to get good enough to qualify more regularly I hope I can get good enough to do pro-am next year because I couldn't cope with another season of having to make the top 8 to do more than a mornings drifting. It is certainly worthwhile for what it teaches you but I'm a bit wiped out with it just now, and just want to drive and improve.I really want to do the British Open the day after as I like the twinning but my money situation makes it unlikely just now. That may change though The whole point of rebuilding the car was to be spec'ed up for the British Open. | |
