S13 with SR20 swap tacho going crazy

    Hi there,

the tacho in S13 with SR20 (S14) engine swap and Apexi Power FC is going crazy - the needle bounces (moves up/ sometimes down) in a second till redline with even small throttle. Only while throttle is released it shows normal rpm.

The tacho was replaced - same problem.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

You need fit a resistor when you make the wiring loom.

You mean on rpm signal cable?

I don't understand such thing, but maybe some specs of resistor to be mounted?

    Many thanks to all.

Yep, behind the clocks you can attach the resistor to the TAM and Ign 12v screws. Can't remember the resistor rating as I bought enough to last years for the unit ages ago so have never needed to buy more.
