BMW 328i e36 M50 conversion (throttle body) info needed

    Hello,

I have fitted the M50 inlet manifold to my 328i e36, runs a lot better, love it. I have also got the throttle body to go with the M50 inlet, I have not fitted this because on both throttle bodies there are two pipes that go in to them, their not labeled and its not obvious to what pipe goes where. I can not find a guide anywhere for it. Does anyone know witch pipe goes where on the M50 throttle body or does it not matter?? Please help

    cheers

Just label them when you take them off. Has the M50 throttle body been rebored? If not no point in fitting it.

There are a couple of pipes for throttle body heating (from the coolant) so it could be them.

yer they go from the coolant and through to the airbox thermostat... doesnt matte which way round, and tbh in the uk you probably dont need that system, its just to stop the throttle plate freezing up

This is news to me, I thought it was a straight swap, first I've heard of reboring. Care to elaborate?

It is a straight swap, but why would you bother, they both the same size, so no point unless its been rebored and made larger.

I meant I thought the throttle body from the 325 was bigger bore standard, like the inlet.

edit: just found this, obviously I was wrong!

Cheers lads! I'll try fitting it in the week and let u know how it goes.
I haven't heard about re-bored before, just thought it was a straight swap over, it would be original M50 inlet throttle body.
