Col, just posted a set of wheels to Andy and it old cost £14 scrotes via the royal mail including insurance - so it potentially wouldnt be a huge cost to send it to Holland. Bust the tires off and that would save some weight too. I expect it could be posted for about £45?

Cheers

Whoopsie!

Just a though though Yinny, they might look a bit odd alongside the impuls though mate as the impuls are 15" (Riversides are 14") and the impuls have more dish.

If you do get them though and the centres can be unbolted then bring the wheels down at Japfest (minus tires) and we can turn them over and flip them.

Lol what is going on! haha. PMs replied/sent, lots of interested folks but first with the cash gets the item. Andy man, having alot of riverside interest at the moment so if someone throws the cash at me i'm afraid I'll have to let them go as I really need it. I'm not removing tyre's as I just don't have the time. Yokos are yours, I may even deliver them for free lol. Centres can't be flipped btw they're welded as with most jap "split" rims. Advans need a good home guys they're only £100 a wheel with tyres and tyres are technically worth around £250! Bargains!

Cheers

Tis not true Colin, it’s only the outer bands that are welded. They produce the 2 halves of the band separately so they can effectively make different widths / offsets just by selecting differently sized band sections. These two bands are then welded together for strength and to be air tight. The centres are then bolted in. It’s basically a production efficiency it means they can produce lots of bands and change the wheel design / PCD / bolt pattern by putting different centres into it.

So the band used on a pair of 15x8 SSR mesh is the same as the band used on a 15x8 SSR mk1 the only difference is the wheel centre they install.

I have yet to see a set of split rims yet that have had the centres welded in.

The Impuls I sold to Andy were welded around the circumference on the band itself, but this doesn’t hold the wheel centre in. I just popped the bolts off, gave the band some heat, gave the centres a bump with a rubber mallet and the centres dropped out.

It seems a common mistake for people to assume that the centre has been sandwiched between the wheel band and then the whole lot welded together.

I reckon the Riversides and the Advans could be flipped over for mega dish.

Cheers

James

Going to put these up aswell:

Momo 350mm leather steering wheel £60
As new condition. Came from japan on the 86, no marks/tears or even wear! Don't know the exact model but the marking on the back says "6-87" is that a date? if it is, old skool! (just the wheel, no horn button or bolts)

Will get more pics of the actual wheel later.

Original Koito Trueno Headlights £30
Will fit other cars with the same size light, Good condition, could do with a quick clean.

(Pic at the very top on the shelf) can get more later.

James-san you may be correct with the wheels but this was according to the powdercoating guy, the bolts came out fine but he couldn't get the centre out, but may still be possible. As for the advans I have no idea if the centres are removable but would make some badass dish if they can be flipped.

Just heading out to post the items that have been paid for.

Cheers all
