| GRD Drift Club ![]() | Hardcore Clutch - ORC 559 Twin Plate Anyone in the market for a pretty hardcore man-clutch? I've just removed this Ogura Racing Clutch 559 Twin Plate from my SR20'd PS13. Its rated to 550ps so will take all the power an SR can throw at it pretty much! I've only done about 1000 odd miles on it, mileage prior to me is unknown but judging by the condition of the plates its really not done many more than that! The clutch has an unsprung centre fitted so it really isn't for the feint of heart or weak of left-leg, engagement is switch-like with only a few mm of pedal travel between on and off, ideal for track/drag and drift work, not so ideal for traffic. However the pedal feel is fantastic, nothing gives you the confidence that it is absolutely positively never going to slip like an ORC twin plate of this model. For a twin-plate this is also ORC's easiest to drive. My reason for selling is I use the car a fair bit to-and-from events and I can't get on with the thing which is a pity. Condition wise, I've provided plenty of pictures below for you to judge. I'm not that technically minded when it comes to clutches however I've been told there is load of meat left on the friction plates as these have 5mm when new. The bad points are - firstly you need to supply a new spigot bearing as we damaged the existing one taking the gearbox off. Secondly one of the steel friction plates [one closest flywheel] has some very very small and fine hairline cracks in it [see pictures] - wouldn't bother me and should last fine but if you wish to change that plate, they can be bought seperately from Nengun, RHDJapan, Sumo Power or Envy Performance. This clutch would cost you brand new £550 PLUS Shipping PLUS import duty from Nengun. Price was £350, NOW £300 ONO for everything you see in the pictures [except the iPod and the cat]. I can arrange to meet you locally or I can arrange postage at extra cost because its a heavy bit of kit all together. iPod is a Nano Gen2 for size comparison. ![]() ![]() ![]() Cover Off ![]() Clutch Friction Plate Number One ![]() ![]() ![]() Steel Friction Plate Number One ![]() Clutch Plate Number Two ![]() ![]() ![]() ORC Flywheel ![]() ![]() Hairline cracks ![]() ![]() Centre[?] Bearing ![]() ![]() Thankyou ![]() ![]() Last edited by Jord : 21-07-2008 at 08:01. |
