I've recently replaced my engine, so my old CA is up for sale. The bad: It ran well up until a few months ago when it started running a bit rough on idle, and it turns out that it has low compression on cylinder 2 - roughly 110psi where the others are 150-160psi. Still runs and boosts fine etc, just lumpy on idle. Did the teaspoon of oil test, and it looks like it could do with new rings. The good: About 10k miles back the head was sent off to Oldham Engines for a do-over - New valve guides, cleaned up, skimmed, port and polished to a really high standard, and refitted with all new gaskets, head bolts etc. Also had the bottom end rebuilt with ACL bearings all round, all new bottom end gaskets and seals - front, rear main, all gaskets on housings etc, and half moon seals up top. All sensors are a-ok! Doesn't include turbo, but includes pretty much everything else bolted on I think. I wanted to break it down and keep some spares and sell the rest of it, but due to time and space, I could do with just selling the lot asap. Could be a good one to rebuild, or just use it for the head and spares. £SOLD Engine is currently in Wiltshire - Any questions, drop me a PM.
I've basically priced it as an all in one package as I could do with shifting it all out asap as it's in a workshop and need the space - I'd have been selling the head for around that price alone, It's more or less the reworked head with a free engine.
I think you need a certain number of posts before you can send PM's - As far as shipping goes, I'm not really in a position to ship the engine, especially not to the US as it's in someone else's workshop at the moment pretty far away, and I don't have time to access it to prep it etc. Sorry dude!
bump! Had plenty of interest, but need someone to come and take it away! The head work cost more alone!
Just a stock one included dude. I've heard an aftermarket mani isn't a big deal on CA's anyway as the stock cast one can reliably hold a lot of power without restriction!
