Just lost some DNA material over this....

Very cool car, and the "former owner = Daijiro"-brag factor is an instant win.

Because its a 89 Rx7 with 100,000kms +

Also Dai isnt asking silly money and would like a swift sale so hey presto - a genuine bargain

If its still out of reach it could be sold for 500,000 with R32 GTR Wheels.

Why wasn't the engine bay re-sprayed?

My thought on that was most drift cars get banged about but as drifting is basically showing off, you want your car looking good. Removing the engine to paint the bay just adds cost.

On another note,

I seriously love these cars but the engine puts me off, all i hear is horror stories about them. Whats the crack, do they need rebuilding every XX000miles, how much abuse can a stock/lightly modded one handle. I understand modded/turbo'd engines need lots of care, i owned a modded S14a.

I know i could join a FC forum but DW members use there cars harder than daily drivers and would have a better opinion.
