| *Miss Pez* | retrodan called me to tell me how it was all going. he sounded really dissapointed with himself . but fair game to him, he had been working so hard last few weeks to get the car ready in time, then got in mapped etc on friday and only just caught his ferry, he didnt sleep or eat for over 40 hours. then to drive the car, he had never driven before to go out there and go for it hoping it would do him well considering how rushed he was to get it done.. i didnt even see him for the time he was working on it!! dedicated..... i think so ![]() ![]() |

| spl dori master | James Deane was in fact in the S14... Overall, I was REALLY impressed with the driving today! From Ireland, UK, and abroad, there were about 8 drivers who could have taken the win had it not been for minor mistakes. I think this series is as competitive if not moreso than the US events as far as competitive skill goes. It was grand meeting many of you, look forward to coming over again soon |

| very strange how darren mac was awareded the win then 2 mins later it was given to aln,not taking anything away from alan but darren was on fire all weekend,he put a super pass on martin ffrench on the saturday PRODRIFT IRL round and on sunday he was getting smoke wen the ground was still wet. Very surprised with the desision,it also ended the day on a poor note as people wee going home not knowing who won or why, pitty. |

| sorry yeah my mistake... he was driving the s14 Quote:
that was on the first run... i think he missed third gear... i could see him smacking the steering wheel with his fist when it happened... that was a 6/4 to deane... but the following run was a 6/4 to bon bon so it went one more time... and then another one more time after that... whats the storey with the result? as far as i could see i thought alan had the better runs but darren overtook him at the end.... it was a bit of an out drag him... but there ws smoke pouring off darrens wheels so he was drifting... personally i would love to see alan win... hes knocked on the door so many time but just feel shy of the wining post... anyone want to clear it up? | i'm sure he is.... when he crashed in the armco... he got out of the car and took several bows to the crowd... it didnt actually look like a hard crash... the left hand side of the car look verly badly damaged though.damien mulvey and billy o calihan clatered the barier earlyer in qauilifying... i was really surprised that mulvey made it back looking at the damage to his suspension... |

| doughnutter | The story with the result was that Alan was called the winner over the radio and someone somewhere got the result mixed up and Maurice called the wrong person as the winner. So basically it was just a simple mistake that got pulled way way way out of proportion. Also the pass, as IrishPaddy said it was a sort of out drag him, but it was deemed to be outside the scoring area and more of a drag pass than a drift pass so it was treated as a driving pass. On a personal note it was nice to chat to all the lads over. I'm looking forward to chatting to ye over in Teeside next month and hopefully a few more of ye! |
