| PD Video - ENNIS, Rd1 Ireland ![]() At a very wet and testing Round 1, the Prodrift Ireland field of teams faced a tough opening challenge to the new season. The adverse weather did not detract from the commitment of the Irish drivers or the level of entertainment that was delivered to the thousands of Prodrift fans who also endured the difficult and uncomfortable conditions. Was the track surface as shit as it looks or are the puddles emphasising it? What an excellent event, surely theres potential for more of these street set-up type events in Ireland, they seem to bring out not only drift fans but the general public to. I guess its as there out in the open and not away from public view like at race circuits. Being from the North Coast I always thought something like this would be excellent in the Eaststrand beach carpark in Portrush (where they hold the "Beach Party") Plenty of room, good surface, you could have it in summer, few bands, freestyle moto-x etc etc. Would pull mad crowds! I know there alot more to all this than meets the eye though! Anyways fair play for putting on what looked like an excellent event. Pity about the weather, il try and bring some sunshine back from Hawaii with me! |
