I thought you werent supposed to fit stickers to a helmet , something about making it unsafe?

indeed stickers on helmets isn't good, cos the sticky stuff eats the helmet, unless your using carbon fibre or kevar. i reccomend getting it spray painted

have to use model paint or water based as the chemicals in normal spray paint weaken the helmet aparently

i thought the use of stickers were banned as it can hide cracks and defects

tis true .. were not allowed to put stickers on hard hats to say where were from ... but fail at site inductions ... lol

I think thats for the plastic helmets, there is absolutely no reason glue or paint should affect a fibreglass, carbon or kevlar helmet! Last time I checked, they still painted fibreglass cars!

I would assume it was more a case of them being used to cover up damage, (as cefiro drifta said).

Alex B is absolutely right.

Solvent based adhesives eat the plastic on plastic helmets - which obviously is not good but other helmets should be absolutely fine.
