is this covering you from binning it into the tyres also, i.e any accident that would occur on the racetrack

Yes thats what iv,e been led to believe..
i remember going to a event and there was someone who was on the qtr mile and hit a lot of standing water and aquaplained through a fence
he was unsure about his insurance but he got a quote and they give it the go ahead

car needed quite a lot of work (if it was your normal insurance they would prob of wrote it off)

Hi,

sorry for the delay in responding..

Best place to go is MORIS :: motorsport race & rally insurance services

Sky do not currently offer trackday cover, we are looking at setting something up though.

Moris are our preferred supplier

On a personal note : 'if you bend it, you mend it'.

Most people I know do trackdays in sub £5k cars.. with high trackday excesses it is barely worth it. If you have a £20K porker turbo for example then obviously you need trackday cover.

Oh i see, my mistake

So on this subject as said earlier, if i paid the £60 for track cover and then binned the Supra whats the procedure? What im getting at is what are your rights when on track with regards to insurance. Im trying to clear a grey area here of course

EDIT: If id looked at Moris website id have answered that already

I have track day insurance as a freebie through my current insurers, but only at events organised by a list of recognised companies. Of all the drift events I've been to only the Barkston Heath days through Javelin were available for cover.

It's also the only place I've ever done any damage. Although naturally I fixed it myself without claiming, as 50 quid for a door, some cable ties and a bit of hammering was less hassle.
