there is alot of forums about guys in the US running the sr20de on low boost, was looking at this myself a couple of years ago, but decided against it due to costs

pretty sure a fwd engine going into a rwd car is gonna open up a world of pain.

not to mention the compression ratio and head design is way different

FWD SR will not work in a RWD, not just that will not fit but it will actually explode as all the oil drains are in the wrong place and it will surge and do the bearings.

SR20DE T conversions are stupid and a complete waste of time.

Clarkey.

not worth making it rwd, but still you probably got a nice crank in it

Clarkey.
Depends what your doing and where you are in the world. If your in the States then it's very worth while as the avaiabiliy of the DET engine is limited. So if you blow one up, it's a fucking nightmare.

The DE engine however is readily available and very cheap, so if you do the conversion once and use the block/head as a consumable item it's a goer.

I know a lot of people in the states running DE+T setups with 350-400hp+

Main trick is to use a breezeblock sized headgasket to decompress the block and drop it from the 10.X:1 to around 9.0:1

In the UK, SR20DET's can be readily picked up for under a grand, ready to drop in with turbo, loom etc. They will do a reliable 350-400hp all day everyday with the right bolton bits.

So it's really not worth the cost or hastle of converting a DE to a DE+T.

as has been said fwd DE engine will be a nightmare to make work,

and will end up costing more than a decent DET engine etc.

end of the day £40 may of seemed a bargain, but cut your losses and buy a DET instead!
