Wow 3 years, that's quite a lot. I would check fluid levels and bring some fresh fuel. Put the fuel pump relay out, take out spark plugs ( Check the gap and adjust to 0.8mm) and put a 50-50 mix oil/fuel in the spark plug holes. Let it sit a bit. Also check the air filter. Turn engine over so that oil pressure builds up a bit especilaly for the turbo and the bearings. Put spark plugs back in and see if it starts. It s clear that it will smoke a bit until the oil/fuel mix is burnt. Fresh oil would be great but that's maybe a bit anoying if you just go watch the car. If it starts let it idle a bit and check for suspect noises then rev it up to approx. 3k if you cant hear anything strange it's rather a good sing.

I'd put fresh oil in it before starting it properly especially if a load of petrol has been poured into the bores as some of it will seem down into the oil. When you crank the engine over to blow the fuel/oil out of the bores lay a towel over the top of the engine other wise it'll go everywhere. Not that I see the point in the fuel/oil thing, if the rings are rusted to the bores they need a good days soak, not a few minutes.

Also make sure youve got a good battery or jump leads on it.
