Hows it going guys, Im building a 180 for prodrift next year and have been questioning whether big power is the be all and end all? Basically my thinking is if i have my shell and chasis set up perfectly for drifting (i.e good solid car, coilovers, seam welded shell and everything else that goes with it) then massive power isnt really needed, surely 250-300 bhp should be plenty? Not only is it handy enough to get this kind of power (you dont have to be a millionaire to acheive it) but it is also quite reliable. Its just i see the likes of healy, frenchy, mulvey etc running serious power and it seems there is one problem after another. Comparing this to the likes of alan lenihan, young james deane etc, whose cars are less than 300bhp yet there putting it up to, and beating the "Big guys". What are your opinions, am i right or wrong? Also what mods would you guys go for for a good drift setup, i.e adjustable arms etc?
didnt quite expect that from my half factual yet completley retarded post hope i got the answer across though
only if u people knew what u were on about.... lets just give(180sxboi) the answers he is looking for......
