What engines are these?

In Nissan Patrols, and seem to be twin cam straight 6s, same configuration on the whole as RB's, but never seen RBs with cam covers like that.

I know old patrols came with single cam RB30 non turbo engines, but these look twincam to me...

They are petrol tho, unless they converted the RD to run petrol, which is possible of course.

BUT they look like twincams, and RDs are are single cam as stock IIRC.

Hmm.

Maybe the same 6 straight as in the older Laurel, the 2.4 liter ones...? Not sure, but think I read somewhere that those models shared some engine types...

Odd. the head design looks like a narrow valve angle head, typically used for greater economy but can be made to flow very well. Toyota 7AFE is a good example.
Also the Nissan GA series of engines in the sunny's etc was like that.

F**k knows. perhaps its some random arab spec engine designed to run on a mixture of sand, parrafin and camel shit?

4.8 24valve straight six? Mint! Wonder how it fits compared to an RB or 2J?

TB48DET FTW

nissan turbo 800hp vs lamborgini - Video

Quote:
The latest Engine is the TB48DE (duel over head cams Varible timeing called Vtech system, fuel injection) still useing cast iron blocks with aluminum heads.. the block itself looks identical to the smalled RB series engines then again it was originaly an RB.
Not high revvers though.
