My mate runs a NA Q's as a circuit car, it's backyard spec but pretty gutsy. It's lap times are generally faster than the other turbos he goes to the track with but that's probably more to do with his driving skill being higher than the other guys.
Anyways he has:
S14DE (higher compression than the S13DE, 10:1)
Poncoms
RB20DET AFM
Short intake, the AFM sits where the battery was before.
Custom 4:1 extractors with long primaries.
3" exhaust
Power FC

It think his estimate was around 110-120kw at the wheels but I'm not sure he has ever actually checked the figure or not.
Anyways this is how his car goes vs a V8 racecar (I don't know the specs on the V8 but I think it's an old racecar that is now used as some sort of ride along car at the racetrack, it appears to be a VN Commodore so it's a 5L of some kind).

EDIT: I didn't put the vid in doh!

And my own experience:
There is alot the same between the DE and DET (speaking mostly of S13 motors here). The castings for the block and the head appear identical, pretty much everything is interchangable. The differences I've noted from converting DE motors to DE+Ts are:

Different pistons and rods.

Lack of oil squirters in the DE, the blanks are there but not drilled and tapped. You could fit them if you so desired.

Lack of turbo oil and water line holes, the blanks are once again there but not drilled and tapped (I have drilled these out to bolt a turbo on in the past )

Valves are not sodium filled in the DE. This shouldn't matter for much, it's another heat management thing I think, like the oil squirters.

Cams on the DE are better than the DET but in your case you'll prolly bin the lot.

CAS and dizzy are completely interchangable, I've run DEs in the past using full DET looms, and using a combination of whatever was different on the DET (but leaving whatever was the same on the DE, ie pretty much everything apart from the CAS, coil on plug etc).

The rest from my memory is the same, although I last did this about 3 years ago so I may have forgotten something. And just a random pic of what I did for those who are curious.

You'd be best to talk to GSTuning on here. I can sort you out with one of the trigger disks that allow a number of different ECUs can work with - I'm looking at the possability of running a Honda ODB-0 ecu with Hondata on one of my 24+1 trigger disks at the moment, as its raining and I have the parts required...

what you want is a complete SR20DE BTCC head...

£1500

Or SR20 BTCC block, crank, and rods...

850 a block, 1200 crank, 500 for set of rods

or a complete 8inj SR20 BTCC throttle body setup with carbon airbox for £1250...

they did have complete late and early spec BTCC engines, but they sold now...

I finally got the shims for my head sorted, it took the best part of three and a half hours on the flatbed grinder at Mass Race Engines (thanks to them for letting me use it). So once my ITBs arrive from South Africa I should be able to find out a baseline power figure.

For the Tomei kit I was seeing 1200GBP plus shipping, duty etc.

These babies cost 460GBP inc shipping etc

And then when you run ITBs you're going to need to use AlphaN or do somethign with an airbox and a MAF, pressure pulses at part throttle mean load metering is pants.

I'll be using AlphaN or AlphaN blending, and the only non-OEM sensor I'll be using will be one of my CAS conversion disks

In fact the difference between this and the 4A-GE setups that I've done will be the engine make and the CAS disk. I'm even using wasted spark.

Skimmed the head 1.5mm, port and bowl gasflow job courtesy of Angelworks, Ferrara double valve springs, adjustable cam pulleys. ECU is a VEMS, Ignition MSD EDIS coil, Ford Escort HT leads. Walbro pump, Z32 gearbox, aluminium prop, FSE fuel regulator (yeah I know but it should be okay for NA), I'm using some Halo spark plugs that a guy on here from Belgium sent me by way of thanks for helping him, Fidanza flywheel and ACT 6 paddle. Really I've based my mods on what I had lying about the place after I got bored waiting for my turbo engine to be built.

Powerwise I'm estimating more than some less than many although I think that this is still too accurate for my liking.

I may be better off swapping back to the standard gearbox and selling the Z32 and prop. I definately need some bad boy cams and an exhaust, but for the moment its just a case of getting the thing on a trailer so I can take it for suspension alignment, and then off for some mapping at Gosfield.
