Running prob's 2.5 V6 Omega :-(

Hi peeps wondering if anyone might of come across this prob before??:

Right here goes my Omega 2.5 V6 (99-V-reg) is running V-bad.

Many weeks ago 30 miles after filling up the car with fuel from Tesco it started to run V-bad, cutting out when slowing up to roundabouts (lots in MK) and reving llumpy over 3.5K. Real strong smell of sulfur (egg smell) too.

It's been with a garage for the last two weeks and they are stumpped :-(

When you first start the car everything is fine even when driving nice and slow, but once the car's temp gage get's to half way it cuts out, doesn't want to rev over 3.5k & cuts out stalling when slow to idel.

Replaced fuel filter and seem to be not better at all, there is no lights on the dash and nothing on the ECU fault codes appearing. Head gasket seems fine (mayonise build up anywhere etc...), but rocker cover gasket leaking fair bit of oil and has been for about a year now.

CAT prob's (x2 of them) ?
Worn oil pump, when warm no presure?
Spark plugs foooked?

anyone with any simlar prob's on any other cars or simlar please get in touch

Cheers peeps

as well as above, it could temp sensor fricked, giving dodgy ECU readings causing wank running, as you mention it gets bad when hotter.

its possible the smell is unrelated, i had a strong sulpher smell on my S12 for weeks once, seems it was the alternator overcharging the battery and killing it!

try changing the plug leads, chances are they'll have been sitting in the puddles of oil that collect when the gasket goes and die pretty quick.

Yep been talking to a guy on a VX something or ever site n his vectra V6 had faulty fuel pump with no lights up.

Tryed it earlier down the garage while the fuel pipes where replace on my little nova (35 litres on my garage floor ahhhhh, as where leaking more than a £20 hooker) & turn's out the fuel pipes where empty after the car got hot and cut out! So thinking fuel relay buggered (does anyone know where it is?) or pump worn out!

Can't seem to find out what is causing the prob so using car still till tank is v-low on petrol then offering it out as spares or repair to anyone wishing to give me £500 & dive it away! (making sure when its warn you rev then car at juntions/roundabouts or she'll cut out!)
*5 months TAX and about the same in MOT
*148k
*FSH (mostly Vauxhall)
*Rear tyres 5mm, front 4/5mm

If you can be asred to find the fault n fix it will make a great runner, tow car, skid car, etc.....
