fmic, leaner? richer?

Does putting a fmic on the car instead of the side mount, make it run richer or leaner. Ive been told different things by different people. And as my car is running lean I kept it off thinking it would be worse, but now told put it on. Ive got other bits like high flow fuel filter etc to sort out fueling, but does anyone know for deffinate which was it will go

Cheers guys

If its running lean you shouldnt drive it.

And a decent IC would make it run leaner as the air is denser, BUT as the charge temps are much cooler it would be much less suceptible to det at any given air/fuel ratio.

So its swings and roundabouts really.

BUT usually a FMIC would make it less likely to det rather than more, which is much more important than the actual AFR. So its a good thing.

But still wouldnt be driving hard it if its running lean.

may not change anything if its running a stock ecu as they run on the rich side, providing everything else on the car is tip top. could make it run leaner though.

You can still drive it, just avoid blatting it about everywhere mate
