All about them PPG boxes, but depends on the £££. Gotta be better than the OS Giken alternative tho, the 3 set one is only rated to 400bhp or somethin silly like that

Nothing wrong with it, ive driven tons of cars with dog boxes, its how they drive.

Drive any dog box on any car, even sequentials, like most drive a syncro box and it will crunch and graunch all the time and kill it pretty quick.

No problem as long as you know how to drive one though.

best way to get a rough idea is to drive ur dailey like its a dog box, just accelerate up and when u get to gear change just firmly change gear!! its harder coming down, but easy was is to just give throttle hard sharp blip then pull lever back, it will mesh in but can take little longer than when changing up!!!

tis fun to mess about with driving styles sometimes

Seriously next time I can get to pod have a go, I think you will be pleasantly suprised how well this particular box changes, no speed matching etc, I have used it about town on the road (trade plates) driving normaly and was suprised myself, it has a new gear train in it (latest shape of dogs) and its sweet.
In the ppg vid the guy looks like he is having to force it in to gear, none of that on this one.
BDC last weekend was the first time I have used it properly and I just love it (sad realy a grown man loving a gearbox

)

Right I must stop farting about online and get back to knacking some Skylines

Out of interest (maybe some of the rich norwayers would know) has anyone tryed the HKS sequen. box?? is this a clutch less change???
Just curiosity not looking to buy one

Brett Castle has one, seems to work well most of the time, though he does use the clutch with it to save it.

ikeya shifters are great if you take the time to set them up properly .
mine gives me no shit never!! and i mean never missed a gear swear by it

but as you using it with a after market box im not sure about .

The one I bought just will not work in an RB box, I spent hours no days frikin about setting it up just didnt seem to have enough throw back and forward, you either had 1 3 5 or 2 4 never all working at once, was a nightmare and wrecked a good standard box so gave up, I wouldnt dream of putting it on an expensive dogbox. (want to buy it )
