| Do i fit them or not? I have recently bought a set of second hand coilovers. The seller informed me that one is knocking and leaking so i have planned to get it replaced for £75. At the moment i don't think i can afford the shock amongst other bills in time for the POD dwyb day on the 9th. I'm contemplating if i should fit them until i get the shock replaced as my standard suspension is very wollowy, and use them at the dwyb day. Any advice? I don't know how bad it is knocking/leaking but the guy who had it them on his car left it on there while it was knocking so i would assume it wasn't that bad. He only sold them as he crashed the car so stripped it. |

| im sure it will be fine, the best thing to do would be to fit it, then bounce on the corner with the leaking shock and see if the return is very bouncy or if it just settles like it should, if its ok then its more than likely going to be fine for a little while, easiest way is to drive it tho, if it feels nasty then too much oil has leaked out, it wont last very long leaking tho, are you just getting the seals done on the shock or replacing it with a new, only if you replace it with new then there is a good chance it will be out of sync with the other shocks. not by a lot as they should be matched rating wise, but make sure they are definately the same |
