Thanks, I saw your thread and it does look absolutely lovely. In fact if I had the cash sitting around I'd buy it myself and stick an engine in it. But I think Kev's really set on repairing this one and yours is far too nice to start cutting to bits.

Quotes

Hi all,

Ive had a few quotes for the jig work, you wouldn't believe them.

Frosts accident repair in Milton Keynes wanted £1855 just to weld in a new slam panel and inner wheel housing on the drivers side, repair the inner wing re-enforcer and jig the car. A full quote to repair the lot was £4500.

So, now im looking for someone who will do the work, with 2nd hand panels.

Ive had a few places interested, but wondered whether anyone could recomend a good place to go? I dont want to pay some monkey-cowboy to bodge it.

I did the same damage to mine. I sort of pulled out the support. But just stuck a new wing, bonnet and bumper and its all ok.
I will eventually get round to pulling it out properly but it looks fine.

OK Garage

Hi all,

OK garage opposite the hospital in MK said they can do the jig work with 2nd hand panels for around £500-£700.

Bonus!!!

I might be able to get a multi coloured car on the road for around £1500.

Sounds a lot more like it, £4.5k is rediculous.

You wanna watch that.

For example, if you have another accident is it as safe as should be, or will it just do loads more damage??

Also, if your insurance company ever have to make you an offer on your car it will be on pre-accident condition. They might well say it wasn't road worthy, will do anything to get out of a payment.
