726bhp and 616lbft on PUMP fuel, with full boost by 4500. Not bad for a 2.1 litre... ![]() Anyone want one of them SR20 vs Cossie YB discussions again? lol. Last edited by Stavros : 16-07-2008 at 18:00.

| I <3 BDC! ![]() | 1位 山本S14 福井 SR20DET 901.4PS 73.8 フルチューン/T51R SPL/F-V PRO POWER CHECK RANKING Pasted from Pheonix's power website. Its the most powerful car in their 2L catagory they have tuned. I know its not the same as what you posted Stav, but at least its something to keep the argument balance a bit. Only a weakass 533 lbft in comparison though. I'd be pretty sure on that car running normal petrol too, as Phoenix's power pride themselves on all their tuning being road legal.Last edited by Andy_f : 16-07-2008 at 19:25. |

That will be on race fuel though, this is good as its on pump fuel. Theres been a few Cossie engines around the world with 1000bhp+, but on race fuel, which is no big deal. Anyone can make good power on race fuel. Aside from doing this on pump fuel, the other good thing is the powerband, ie its good, unlike pretty much every small capacity big power engine Jap engine ive seen. Everyone is obsessed with high compression and stupid long duration cams...

I have never seen a big power Jap car that doesnt run on race fuel mate. Id put money that engine runs low boost on pump fuel and got that power on race gas. Big money. Even in the UK practically all the 250bhp per litre or above Jap engines seem to run race fuel for full boost. Thats why none of their stuff ever seems that impressive in the grand scheme of things, the best Jap engines come from Oz/Nz and the USA.

MAD's S14a, compressor surge tastic. - Video I'm sure there was a longer video floating around of it, but that's the only one I can find at the moment. EDIT: Ah it's not THE M.A.Developments, it's a swedish company called MADTech.

Garage Fukui/SPL/Pheonix Power are known for their big power (700bhp etc) 3SGTEs as well but whether they're drivable or not is another matter. They're known for placing big lagtastic turbos on the cars. They're more drag cars tbh. There used to be a Pheonix Power MR2 in Scotland running around 650bhp, the lag was hilarious! When the power finally kicked in (halfway up the strip ) the dude looked like he was going to crash the car the surge was that bad. Certainley not fun. The YB power graph however looks amazing, the fact its giving you 500ft-lb from 4500rpm to 7000rpm is very impressive. Must feel awsome to drive.
