PS13 FMIC Pics!

Ive got an FMIC for my PS13 but the brackets are all wrong. Im making some more, but was wondering if anyone with one, can you take a picture of your pipe work and FMIC with your bumper off. So i can see the brackets.

Cheers.
Matt.

I bought a 180sx SR20DET FMIC and thats what i thought, but after looking the mounting brackets dont line up anywhere, so having to make a new bracket.

I think they mount in the middle instead of the sides. Thats why i wanted pics

PM me your mobile number mate, I'll send some over, my car is out the back of work here with no bumper anyway. What bits do you need pictures of exactly?

With no bumper on really, straight at the FMIC and one from above the FMIC.

Sending PM.

Sent pictures .

However had a think and PS13/180SX FMICs are exactly the same, same chassis, same engine etc. You can swap front ends between the two with no changes.

Thats what i thought when i bought it but.... the brackets are out, and it would sit to low to mount it as the pipe work wouldnt fit. The lights use the brackets you would need.

So i will just make up a new set of brackets for it, easy enough. Will have to buy some thicker metal tho and get the out.

as above ps13/180sx/200sx all the same chassis, perhaps they sent you the wrong kit? either way, knocking up a few brackets is easy enough, does the top bracket not even line up with anything? mine bolts into my bonnet release catch (or at least the screw that holds it in)

Nah top bracket is useless really, need to make a bracket from the outer mounting points on the FMIC to the bonnet catch in the middle, which is easy enough.

The kit is the right. After looking at pics of the S13 with no bumper on it looks alittle different to the PS13.

make ur own, move it closer to the rad and box the gap between the rad and fmic in so air is forced through the rad after going through the fmic

The brackets that came with my intercooler were totally useless!

Make your own is the easiest way
