type 2 fmic

i have curently got a apex type 2 fmic (long pipework) cars running around 300bhp, question is: Is there any point in changing to a larger fmic with shorter pipe work (apex type 1 or dw shop one)? i have a fair bit of turbo lag, would love boost to come on a bit faster, would the shorter pipe work help?

i too would be interested in the answer to this.
iirc the type 2 is rated to 350bhp. larger would probably help you charge air temp a bit. shorter pipework should help lag. i'd like to hear from someone who's tried both options
