rb25det running problems - Drifting forum

Im having problems with my rb lump. I fitted it into my s13, has a walbro fuel pump, apexi air filter, front mount intercooler and everything else is standard. Has been running smooth and very nicely, so took it down the road and back one day, fine, not giving it any beans though. Today, has it running nicely again, took it down the road and it started dieing, revving, dieing, revving - so I pulled to a stop and it cut out. Started it up, and now it wont idle, if you try and rev it it misfires really bad and the revs go up, then drop, then up etc... Theres loads of black smoke coming out the exhaust so i presume its now over fueling?? I've taken the plugs out tonight and there black/sooty and wet. So any ideas why its suddenly decided to over fuel. Runs really rough and is undrivable. Any help would be great! thanks, Sam

hey there id try changing ur lamba sensor. or do an ecu reset you have to disconect your battery and press the brake pedal a few times then put the battery back and take it for a drive.

Ah, well done Raochey, just came back to say I found a intercooler pipe blown off right in the corner! Doh! Thanks for the replies! Sam
