R32 Hub to big arm big nut with bearings type thing???

After replacing Front upper control arms, tension rods and ARB drop links i found i still had some play on the drivers side wheel!

Anyways took it to a local garage today and put it up on the ramp and found out the play was coming from the area circled here (sorry for crap pic but you get where I'm meaning?)

Now he says he can't remember if the bearings in there are tapered (in which case it should be able to be tightened up to remove the excess play) or straight in which case he reckons i may need to replace the whole arm!?

Any advice or help from anyone who has had dealings with this particular area much appreciated.

Cheers

Might end up having to go that route but just wondered if anyone knew if it could be tightened up before i had a look myself.

For future reference - looks like it is tapered. A quarter turn with my Mighty Breaker Bar of Doom (2ft of stainless steel tube over the end of the rachet!) and no more play. Happy days!
