Question How to weld a V' Band to turbo??

Hi, I have a top mount kit with a 3" V' band flange on the down pipe.

Will be getting this turbo, its a T04 which has a 3" outlet but it requires a V' band flange welding to it.

Any body got any tips as im looking a tad confused as to whether this will be the best route. Will it be as straight forward as it sounds? Any suggestions would be greatful. cheers chaps!

Got any better pics of the whole turbo and turbine outlet?

Either way, remove housing from turbo, and weld.

Its only cast iron.

What you putting it on?

The way you cant even SEE the fookin compressor says to me its got a massive turbine and pissy little compressor, and would suck ball as a petrol engine turbo on anything other than a huge v8.

That means bugger all tho.

Thats a/r ratio not overall size, so only really any good to compare to others in the same range.

I have a turbo kicking around at home with a .86 housing, same as a pulsar gtir a/r IIRC, and its the size of a house. about as tall as a shoebox.

Same as say, i dunno, Escort Cosworth and RS500 exhaust housings, both t3 flanged and .63, but the RS500 one is loads bigger even by eye, and is capable of a good 150bhp more.

The AR is a ratio of two sizes within the same turbo.
Garrett has alot of info on their website (honeywell) if you are interested in how it all really works.
