Question s13 2JZ-GTE?

Does anyone know if this has been done yet (i know it has on the s14) If so where can i get any info an it?

I have found a kit to install the 2JX engine that includes Engine, Box, Loom and custom prop shaft but its from Taiwan

Should be a good skidder if it can be done

It will be awesome, and definatly can be done, but you need mega commitment and money.
These sort of projects are always great to dream about, but 9 times outta 10 they stay that way - as dreams.
But if you can, go for it!

Is Niall Gunn's S-body an S13?
If so, he's done it.

lol you can't say that without pics

I've read that there are problems with the gearbox location causing the shifter to be too far forward, are you having any problems with that in your S13 build?

We helped with Niall's 1jz in S13 conversion, gearbox mounts were a pain and the gearstick is quite far forward, plus the manifolds are on the opposide sides to the SR so exhaust and plumbing has to be done from scratch, vems ecu took care of the wireing (cheers Bob).
The car has absolutly nothing on it that is not neaded to reduce weight, the 1jz made about 450 on the dyno with little lag so yes it is a mad machine to drive.

il have the build up on projects and buils later in the week, havent had a chance to over the last few months

its 478bhp, and yes its abit of handful in a near 1060kg car

My advice stick to an sr till you can get the maximum out of it, most people drifting dont need more then 300bhp out of a 180/200 to do well compeitition

And like scotty said this swap is not straight forward, and costs alot of time/money ,contary to what people think

Its only ever outing this year, ive only driven it for 6 laps this year
