Question Ecu Questions Is Others The Same

Just pulled off the kick pannel which the ecu sits behind
just for pure cuirosity and i came across a gold badge
across the ecu reading quality plate and a lot of writeing
on it and on the bottom left hand corner it had a MINES logo
but there were still nissan badges on it at the same time so i
was wondering is this on all nissan ecus or could the ecu be
upgraded or chiped or anything im baffeld so any help
will be appracited as i do not have a clue about these things
thanks Gareth

PS I KNOW MINES IS LIKE A JAP TUENING COMPANY

It will have been upgraded by Mine's and is not on all Nissan ECUs.

yes garath

they DUMP loads of fuel in at the top end and actually retard ignition abit too much, for some odd reason.

One also STRUGGLES to remove the ROM chip from the board as they are glued over heavily (to obviously prevent removal)

Its probably most likley had modifications fitted to the car for which the chip would have been programmed to.

So its always a little bit of an unknown im afraid.

best way is to get the car checked on the road using a wide band or better still on the dynomometer where you can see the gains...

It is a nissan ECU though, with simply a MINES decal rivitted on and a EPROM swap from the stock nissan data.
