Wink 3S-GTE Engine coversion help. Aftermarket ECU info needed

Hi Folks, I'm currently fitting an MR2 engine into a spaceframe chassis I've built however rather than re-fit the the standard muck I'm looking for some extra ponies.

Mainly tho I want to loose as much of the original loom as possible as it has sooo much cack that... well to be frank obviously wont be used.

Has anyone got any experience in that or advice they can offer? I'm planning on losing the ct26 turbo (yes it's a rev1) and replacing it with something of the larger hairier variety... also thinking about fitting a rev 3 head as i've heard the manifold flows better. Again all advice will be greatly appreciated.

The problem with the standard 3S-GTE trigger is that its the noisy 24+1 tooth setup in the distributor. The only experience I've had with these engines is with a 36-1 trigger on the crank pulley - and the engine really came alive with this as it makes the ignition timing rock solid.

Once you go 36-1 you have the the choice of pretty much every after market ECU open to you. As we found on Phil's S15 the Toyota pattern is suseptable to noise causing false triggers in between the points where the VR sensor is stimulated.
