I'll bet money that you have a massive boost leak from there! Get some jubilee clips on there! I'm sure that'll solve your problem!
oh my...cable ties

ive never seen that before in all my days

I know they are useful but this is a little worrying

I'd say if i hadn't seen them then check plugs, plug gap, boost leak, afm needs cleaning, coilpacks.

My intercooler cracked on my s14a....caused misfire at high revs...i.e on boost....you could easily tell on mine but it may not be the case with yours, pressure test the system....failing that compression test....however you may want to do that anyway for peace of mind

LOL just what I was thinking. Was wondering why he used more than one post.

Back on topic.

We've had a measure of success:

Lambda sensor was replaced (with a new item from an escort cosworth).
The misfire went away and came back, now at 3500>4000rpm. it is however, intermittent.

I did manage to get it home from Newcastle to Edinburgh (just couldn't floor it).

SXOC has suggested the AMF wiring so am looking at that tomorrow.

Cheers for all your help.
Jamie
