Snapped a Turbo-elbow stud, get it fixed or 'ok'?

So today I was putting on my new GT28R, I transferred 4 stud from my old T28 and borrowed one from my neighbour. Guess which one snapped off in the exhaust housing...started drilling it and snapped off my 2mm drill in it...

So now I just fitted everything onto the turbo ready to go on which I will probably be doing tomorrow.

My question:

Should I get it drilled and retapped for 30/40quid or leave it as is and not worry about it? The good part is that its the one that is right next to the other one, so its not holding a critical angle like the other 4.

What do you guys think?

Another, the manifold to turbo flange bolts are secured with a lock plate, 2 of the tabs broke off as well. Should I get new ones or leave it as is? Again lucky its the 2 bolts that are easy to reacht with turbo on.

Problem is, drilling and retapping + getting the lock plates takes 2 days and the car needs to be on the track friday night for timed practice and I sure as hell don't want shit happening on track + taking the whole damn crap off. (again!)

Cheers!

if you really need the car on road by friday and cant be bothered with drilling and re-tapping, then hold your nuts and hope it holds, i wouldnt worry about the exaust elbow bolt too much as i have ran a elbow with only 4 bolts holding it the worst thing that would happen is it would start to leak and youd be able to notice a performance difference.

the manifold tab doesnt really matter you can run the car with out them, the purpose of it is it stops vibrations loosening the bolts but it never seemed to work for me so i havent had it on my s13 and the bolts are still tight as fook

the locking tabs on the manifold to turbo flange have a major tendancey to open....they will stay tight for a bit,but at worst ive seen em last 2 events and come loose.if you were after cracking one of these studs you'd be in shit, gasses escape and you lose heaps of boost and power, but where you broke it all you get is a bit of excessive noise at best

Thanks guys, that's the replies I was looking for. I went to the hardware shop and got self-locking nuts for the turbo-man flange.

I tried extracting the stud yesterday by welding a nut on it but it didn't work so I just said fuq it and fitted it all. Just had the car running on axle stand and it didn't seem to leak, so gotta see what it'll do on boost, fingers crossed!

you'll prob find you have problems drilling it out now, as you've snapped a drill bit in there... you need a small, high speed grinder to grind out the old drill bit...
