Quite, and pointless.

You'd need a new rear subframe setup, axles, propshafts, chop huge amounts out of the tunnel for the prop, fabbing of ehausts, manifolds, rotating the engine around 9o degrees...

The name VR6 comes from a combination of V engine (German: V-Motor) and the German word "Reihenmotor" (straight engine). The combination of the two can be roughly translated as "inline V6 engine".

Maybe he mean this.

just a guess..
but what for somebody want a VR6 engine in a honda.

Google is good

That may be the literal translation, but as we often encounter with 'engrish' and the likes, straight translation frequently doesn't work. 'We Produced With Spartan Air' anyone?

An 'inline V6' is an anachronism - the two are mutually exclusive. Surely a V cannot be an inline by definition?!

hmmm, I've just read this and am wondering if he means the difference between mounting lengthways or widthways?

Like my old's galant, (FWD) I'm pretty sure that one is widthways?

As opposed to lengthways (with the V's inline front to back of the car??)

You can have a shallow angle V6 that only uses one head like the R32 golfs/A3's, 3.6 Q7's, as some people call them an offset straight 6. Plus if you put two together you get a W12 like bentley's and such. Bit off track I know. Dont do it tho, its a silly idea, just had this convo with a mate who wants rwd but doesn't want to sell his civic.

A VR6 would be difficult to convert to rear wheel drive as I doubt there are any boxes available to do so. I may be wrong, but I don't he is talking about one.

Inline also means north-south or longitudinal engine mounting ie along the car like in the RWD Nissans everybody on this site has.

What he means is he can find a V6 that is installed like this for cheap money (both Ford and Vauxhall made inline mounted V6s).

Next person to mention VR6s is a cock.

Anachronism - The representation of something as existing or happening in other than chronological or historical order.

I think this is what you were grasping for:

Oxymoron - A figure of speech that combines two normally contradictory terms.
