| You'd be better off just fitting a cone filter, they have more surface area so it won't lose as much power as a smaller version of the same filtering element. The smaller the element's surface area the more power it will lose trying to suck through x amount of air. If you don't want a cone filter then you'd have to go with some coarser gauze so it's not trying to filter so much thus losing power. I've ran my car for several events with no filter and it's ok, but it was running through a std. airbox and now the inside of the AFM and throttle is all covered in shit and dust (mainly from Norfolk I think). I beleive this is jamming my AFM up a bit as the car now runs rich. |
