Coilovers to lower and harden the ride. You then need adjustables to get the geometry right. The most sensible thing is to get adjustable rear camber arms (the upper s14 arms that look like half loops). That'll let you get the rear camber sorted.

At the front go for adjustable front caster arms (tension arms). That'll give you sorted caster (wheel centralising after being sidways).
Tein tie rods and ends for more lock will make a massive difference.

dave, it almost sounds like you know what you're talking about!!
Alternatively you can go to www.anglegrinderhire.net/cutyoursprings and lower it for a fraction of the cost...

Don't be ridiculous mate you've seen my cars
I only know because I've broke every single suspension bit so many times that I know exactly what they do now haha still never seem to have the car setup properly but there you go!
Trying to turn over a new leaf and have a sorted car now, I'm sure it will last at least 10minutes before I break more stuff and havn't got time to sort it

You dont have to get them, but to get the car setup good when its lowered you need them. They are just the minimum things to get the car setup nicely. The other arms (lower ones etc) are only really necessary if you want to widen the track width (width between the wheels).

If you don't get rear upper camber arms you'll have too much negative camber when the car is low. This will wear away the tyres on the inside too quickly.

For drifting peeps try to have only a little rear negative camber say 1 degree, and quite a lot of front negative camber 2.5degrees or more.

Front negative camber is done by the top mounts on the driftworks coilovers.

You don't definately need the caster arms but they are well worth getting at the same time seeing as you are working on the area anyway. The tein track rods are also very very good additions because they give you more lock.

Haha! no , don't worry about it! s14 have a fair bit of steering lock anyway. Stick your coilovers and rear camber arms on and then get the other front bits when you are ready.

You don't need adjustable rods persé, I have dropped mine 55 front and 40 rear, the rear has 2.3c negative camber now, which is still not enough for me as I drive on the Nordschleife most of the time. It actually doesn't even wear the tire down that much! I have 4.0 - 4.6 - 4.6 wear from left to right on the left rear tire, so as I said, not enough camber as it looks the tire apparantly rolls over too much due to tire-wall flex(225/50) and wears on the outside. Camber FTW y0!

Listen to Royal, he knows what he is talking about.

Vova is correct as well. Depending on how much the car is lowered an individual can get by without needing adjustable suspension components.
