| TDM Tramp | rb20 engines and drifting hello everyone. as all my friends that skid have s bodies and run sr20s i have very limited knowledge on the rbs and am looking at saving for my first proper skid car atm (my two old volvos discounted )anyways to prep an rb20 for skidding i know that the sump needs baffling as they suffer from oil surges. however what else do they need. i have heard about new oil pumps and the fact the head needs to be drilled. can people clarify this and tell me anything else that needs doing to the engines (not power upgrades im not that dense) cheers Ant |

| rb20's are fine. fine with basic power increasing mod's too. only start getting unreliable running big power-which you don't need if your learning. you only really need that if your competing ![]() |

They all suffer from a pretty harsh oil surge problem due to the fact that oil pools in the head and can't return to the bottom end quick enough. The mod to fix is pretty simple but involves removing the head. Unfortunatly, it does not matter how much power you run - it's all down to G-Forces. Temp Fix is to overfill the engine with oil and fit a catch tank - | |
