Itīs a case of how much you want. They donīt bend rods and donīt blow pistons. Highest I know of on standard internals is 475whp. ARP headstuds depending on compression ratio (MLS gasket for 9.7, paper for 8.8 ) 55+ mm inducer turbo Donīt get a old turbo. Itīs pointless to try and build a crap setup. Youīll need a ecu, injectors, clutch, new "3 exhaust. massive intercooler. First though. How much power are you looking for?

Holset HX35 First of all I have a 2.5 without a head that you can get for 50pounds ![]() just get another head and your gold. I can give you intake manifold with the short block a 2.0 will be struggling for 300whp. 2.5 with stock head and cam will need about 1.2-1.3bar of boost on a HX35.

Still going to need Clutch Turbo Turbo manifold wastegate intercooler plumbing injectors control mechanism for controlling fuel. downpipe exhaust Expect the same cost for 280-300hp as 400hp on a M50( cirka 3-5k depending on resourcefullness) Infact, add MLS gasket + ARP head studss and youīve got 500hp

They last. May need stronger axles when you go sub 10sec 1/4mile. Nothing is bombproof, itīs all in the tuning and not overreaching the design. The problem is your RHD setups. It just hasnīt ever cought on making kits that fit RHD BMWīs. While there is plenty of LHD kitīs. Problem beeing that people usually go for bottom mounts , but that fouls the steering linkage on RHD cars.
