    Daze,

Im trying to give you feedback mate. I watch you lots. You have been getting better but you seem obsessed with arm out window while at the same time you lines are weak.

If you focused more time of steering with both hands and getting line spot on you would score better in any drift comp than you would for weak lines and showboating with arm out of window.

As a reference for you when we do fast 5 car trains at pod how many of the decent drivers have arm out of window ?

    4. Showboating.

Extra points are to be had for show boating
for Class B, a wave to the judge mid corner, or flashing headlights, tyre smoke would be a high points score.

Class A all of the above 'at the same time'
    MAX points available 10.

Each promoter will explain the course, the scoring criteria and the clipping points at a driver briefing prior to qualifying.
NO passengers allowed during qualifying runs
how are you supposed to wave and flash your highlights whilst being in total control of a fast moving drift car. I think this is more likely a jokey comment from malx that could be read into too much and if followed to the letter potentially very unsafe

More to the point he points out each promoter will explain the scoring criteria. Has Me, B or anyone involved with DWYB ever said you will score higher for waving. NO

So to clarify you dont get points for waving at pod

Lesson for the day - listen to judges , dont believe everything you read on the interwebz

If you have loast or damaged your card I can email you a copy and you can print it out

    Dan

    yep

i have been in contact with B and she will foward me any scores with names so i can update regularly - this way you can moan at me for the scores not being up

i get alot of (to quote Lex) "interwebz" time so this will be updated after every event.

further to this i too have misplaced my scorecard so what i might do is print of a list of all POD drivers so that scores can be all in one place (similar to the electronic version but a hard copy)

simple neat way to note results

This is what i have quickly come up with (last colum is "season total")

this way i can give B a hard copy so she can score each persons round/run on here - eliminating the scorecard as folks have lost them or whatever

each round and each run can be recorded simply and then fowarded on to me where i will update and post on here..

    thoughts???????

    Looks good bro.

For those of us who have our scores already on the origional card how do you want to go about putting them on your sheet.

Also you need more lines per person IMO as people like Clarkey did like 7 qualifying days so has more than the minimal 4 runs
You ask any drifter, any real drifter. It's not the way you stand by your car, it's the way you cable tie your aero.

true and i can add more however reason i left 4 lines only is because you only need to attend 4 rounds and your 4 best rounds is what i will put in there

    as far as i am aware (but could be wrong) its;

do a minimum of 4 rounds.. maximum of... well there aint one

    your top 3 scores from each round are then added up;

    eg - round 1... 90 - 90 - 90 = 270
    round 2... 90 - 90 - 90 = 270
    round 3... 90 - 90 - 90 = 270

    Total - 810

this total then becomes your total for the season and will determine if you qualify for the finals and which class you will be in...

if i am wrong then would one of the organisers please clarify??

also clarification of classes would be good too

Perosnally think it should be done on total from all three laps since then you are being judged on consistancy rather than one amazing lap and a spinnu on the other two for example.
Failing that why not pull an average score from the three runs at a qualifying event. Say someone got 60-99-80 ( Average would be 60+99+80 = 239 devided by 3 = 79.6666666.

Average score would be rounded to nearest whole figure so 80 in the above case.

Took me ages to remember how to calculate averages.

That's how it works already, doesn't it? From when B was in my car, she said I she'd judge my 3 best laps.

Highlight what you want in the spreadsheet, click copy, then go into Paint or whatever and click paste, then save as an image, upload to photobucket and post on here.
