Considering BGW big gay wing for my mk1 mx5

Looking at investing in a big gay wing in the near future, just wondering whats on offer.

Ideally i want something so tall that when i open the boot lid it sits neatly on the roof lining or roll bar, happy with fake C/F etc if it comes cheaper. Would like to be able to adjust the wing angle to face more forwards but not too bothered.

Is a lack of down force becoming an issue with all those horse powers and lack of grip?

Not gonna have the effect i wanted, ie it sitting on the roof. However, looks like it would sit well. If you could fit it too a 5er then shoot it from the side with the boot fully open and then from the back with it closed that would help me a lot (:

Nothing wrong with a BGW what so ever... The only people I see complain about them is the people who
1, haven't got a car fast enough to see the benefits from them.
2, The people who can only drift roundabout at 40mph... Lets not forget the people who follow the crowd.

When I mad my GTO RWD I had to put one on, driving on the motorways at high speed was very unstable with out one.

Horse power and grip don't always have to be the case when looking for a wing. Maybe the guy just likes to go fast while keeping the car stuck to the ground?

I just absolutely love how they stir up haters. I'm pretty sure the older generation frown at my car enough already (Last month i was reversing out of a parking bay at the supermarket and got a screaming at by an elderly man who thought my car was "unsightly" but of course being 18 if i was to inform him that he was being agressive for no apparent reason or reported him to the local police i would be sure to have an ASBO slapped on my record) but a giant wing would be sure to get them raging

Also, i've since turned my sub up and although its not hugely powerful, somehow it keeps vibrating the boot open at traffic lights so i'm really fixing 2 problems at once.

Lmao your telling me that you had to stick a rear wing on Your gto so you were able to drive it on a motorway !

PAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm pretty sure the reason for sketchy handling wasnt down to the need for more rear down force, more than likely shot 4ws like every cr with 4ws

But then again some mass produced generic spoiler is built to offer untold down force on a car travelling 60-70-80-90-100 mph

    Benefits would be ASTRONOMICAL

BGW's dont do anything but add looks and usually make cars look monumentally fucking shit ESPECIALLY on small cars

    Dont waste your money

Really dude? Have you had one on your car? for how long? speeds etc: etc:? I found it made a massive difference on the motorways.
I used to see my girl every weekend up in (Crewe) 218 miles form me.

With out the wing the car felt very light at say speeds of 70 - 90mph or over. especially if the wind got me from the side.
With the wing my car felt allot more stable/stuck to the ground..... But then again I'm guessing F1 cars, Rally cars etc: etc: just put them on there to look good to right?

Don't tell me they don't work dude.

Put a tire on your roof it will have some sort of effect.

No I've never ever disgraced any of my cars with wings. They don't do anything.

Ive had Holden commodores well let 140 mph and a car being far far less aerodynamic over a gto didn't need a wing, my aristo had been taken to 150-160 and again it was as aerodynamical as a brick compared to a gto and that didn't move an inch unless I wanted it to

There is a reason why racing teams spend thousands/millions on R&D on aerodynamics and Dmax, vertex, halfords don't !!! One does a
Job on a race car and one is because race car
