Bit of a weird one, need to get a set of Advan rs-d refurbed, the wheels came matte black with the raised 'advan racing' lettering machined back to bare metal. They need a colour change but would like to keep the lettering as it came new, un painted/coated... been to a few places, big one in crawley, emailed pics to lepsons, but everyone's saying they can't do it, anyone know a company who definitely can, preferably in the south east ? Would ad a pic but it's saying i can't post attachements now ?
I personally can't see why they wouldn't/couldn't just paint/coat the whole wheel, then face the lettering, and then laquer the whole wheel ? Surely that'd give the desired effect, and wouldn't be hard for a wheel refurb specialists, or am i missing something ?
