JDM: Calvert wins, Fink takes the Championship!

Congratulations to Fink and Calvert for putting on the battle of the year at Silverstone yesterday. Calvert took the win from the battles but Fink nailed the championship after Dan Chapman failed to qualify in appalling driving conditions. This snap from Ash Burrows amazingly doesn’t show how close they actually got! Commiserations in the office to Driftworks drivers Dan and Bon who both found the dramatically different line on the revised Silverstone track just too un predicatable causing spin outs. Was great to see the super skilled Polish guys out there too who did an amazing job of coping with the dreadful grip level changes. Also huge congratulations to Marvin Mospinek was ripping it hard in a crazy looking E30 and a well deserved 3rd place!

Marvin Mospinek was the third placed driver in the mental E30. 🙂

Yeah Marvin “No Spin” Mospinek, although he did spin once (understandable in the conditions). I have to say he was performing the most epic entries since Declan Munneley’s jiggle entries. If drifting is about looking like you are about to crash, but then not. Those two win.

The entries in the E30 were very impressive, got some balls!

Who’s car blew? Changed to second and *bang*, metal bouncing all over the place…!
