Dai Yoshihara joins Driftworks / Falken Tyres for Drift Allstars Finals

Dai Yoshihara joins Driftworks!

We are absolutely delighted to announced that Formula D legend Daijiro Yoshihara joins Team Driftworks to drive the Driftworks 550bhp 1JZ R32 Nissan Skyline with Falken Tyres for the Drift Allstars Finals.

To kick things off this week with driver announcements Dai Yoshihara has confirmed his attendance for the Drift Allstars European Series Finals in Wembley, London.
After his European debut in Prodrift Ireland finals this past weekend the Formula Drift Points leader put up an amazing display qualifying 5th overall and reaching the final 8.
Dai Yoshihara commented; “After having such a great weekend at Prodrift, I’m really looking forward to a new challenge in London for the Drift Allstars Finals at Wembley. I’ve heard so much about this street course at Wembley stadium and I’m looking forward to going up against more of the talented National champions and European drivers and putting on a great show for Driftworks and Falken Tyres Europe.
This will also be the first chance to see both Falken Tyre UK, Europe and USA at one event with British Championship leader Matt Carter driver and Lennard Wanders from Falken Europe joining with Dai Yoshihara to increase Falkens presence at the Drift Allstars Finals. Thanks must go out to Falken Europe for assisting with tyres.
Phil Morrison Driftworks company director and team manager said: “We’re very proud to have Dai Yoshihara driving the Driftworks R32 Skyline at Drift Allstars Wembley. I’ve watched Dai become the most successful driver in Formula D USA in recent years with his aggressive and technical style, and we’re doing our upmost to ensure he feels just at home in our 550bhp Toyota powered Nissan Skyline. I’m also personally looking forward to driving along side Dai, and having the two Driftworks competition cars out on track together for the first time this year.”

The Drift Allstars event takes place this Friday and Saturday, more information at www.jdmallstars.com.

Ow my. This should be good. Hope you guys show up his american car builders and show them how it’s done.

He doesn’t need a V8. 1JZ is the way forward.

Haha 😀 Have you seen the build of his Formula D car? I think we may need a little more than a weeks notice to bring the DW R32 from half finished to that spec :D. Of course we are working our asses off to make sure it’s the best it can be, and I’m really looking forward to having the two cars out there together again.
