350z Black on Black

350z Slammed

“I’m not going to modify this one too much, I’m going to keep it practical so I can use it over winter”. So I lasted about a week with that idea, and I’ve fitted a set of HSD DualTech Coilovers, and done some rear archwork to fit some 18×11 ET8 and 18×10 ET12 Rota MXR Wheels with a set of GT50 NeoChrome Wheelnuts. We’re currently working on a set of alignment arms for 350z’s that should be available in the new year.

350z MXR Rota

Current tyre sizes are 245/35/18 front and 265/35/18 rear, but the little 350 doesn’t work so well with these tyres sizes and this ride height, and after getting beached on a speedbump this morning I’m going to try a profile up and see if 245/40/18 and 275/40/18 will give me a bit more ground clearance with out messing up the tyre to arch gap.

Nice, looks good Phil 🙂 Great to hear you guys are going to be developing more parts for the 350z. Will you guys be planning on making a adjustable rear toe arm to replace the spring bucket for people choosing the true coilover HSD’s?

Why did you choose to use a set of dualtech coilovers as apposed to monopro?

Yes, we wanted to run them for a while to test them and we’ve made some changes to the design to let them run 30mm lower at the rear than before as a result!

This car is sick… has the extra height helped, and you should make another post on how the dual coilovers are treating you a year later. I’d be interested to read about that!
