King of Europe Drift Series had reached the season finale, and the event was about to go down on SlovakiaRing, a track better known for having held WTCC or FIA GT races.
This round was going to be especially interesting, judging by a number of factors. Team WiseSquare from Japan was coming back to Europe one more time, for this end of the season event, but this time with 4 drivers instead of 3 (as they came in Spain). Daigo Saito was going to drive the same Chaser, but now with a revised engine, pushing about 600 horsepower, Tetsuya Hibino was going to sit behind the wheel of the same Dotz 2JZ S15, and this is where the changes come into play. 326Power owner, Mitsuru Haruguchi decided to ship over one of his masterpieces, an amazingly painted S14, which you guys can also see featured in the Driftworks Outsiders Movie (Buy it HERE) , while the red SR20DET S15 was going to be driven by female driver Saori Ishikawa. So, 4 japanese drivers to spice up the action!
Also, going into this round, a total of 61 drivers registered for the event. 61 drivers from 21 countries, with one driver coming all the way from Saudi Arabia to compete in a LS powered, full carbon fiber Ford Mustang! Out of the total of 61, 5 of them could win the championship title, and a potential of over 10 drivers could win the event itself!
While this movie is just a backstage view on the whole event, which will show some of the fun and the tense moments, how the drivers interact and so on, it’s definitely worth the watch if you want to get into the atmosphere behind the scenes!
