StanceParts Air Cup Lift Kit for Coilover Suspension

Summary

Description

Choose from a Tank kit for a fast 1-2 second lift, or save some boot space with a Tankless setup (around 4-5 seconds to lift a 2 cup setup)

This comprehensive air cup kit can be fitted to a lot of aftermarket coilover suspension kits, giving you the ability to lift the nose of the car (Or lift the car completely if you chose the optional rear cups) over obstacles and then drop back down to your standard height for driving.

The Stanceparts Air Cup Kit includes everything you need to install the air cup lift system:

  • 2 air cups
  • 12 meters airline
  • T-splitter
  • 12v 3-way valve
  • Pre-wired 16mm LED switch
  • Tank kit with VIAIR compressor or Tankless with uprated VIAIR 400c compressor setup
  • Connecting material
  • Instructions Booklet

Available in a range of sizes to suit various shaft diameters - This is the diameter of the damper shaft where the cup will sit and seal below the top spring cup.

2 year warranty on the air cups.
1 year warranty on the compressor setup, covered by the manufacturer: VIAIR.
Where possible we always recommend using HSD or Driftworks Coilovers as we have extensive experience of this combination.

These Stanceparts air cup kits will fit a lot of coilover kits with the exception of some large diameter inverted dampers. - Get in touch if you're unsure about your kit.

The kit sits between the main spring and the spring top cup on the coilover and is just 20mm when not inflated. At full extension the cups measure approximately 70mm, so provide approximately 50mm of lift.
Stiff spring rates can reduce how much the kit lifts, and helper springs or spring droop are sometimes recommended when fitting these cups, so they are not fighting the main spring rate too much in addition to the weight of the car.

When used with HSD & Driftworks Coilovers we have a variety of parts & springs available, so will do our best to assist in making this kit work correctly as best as possible. With other coilover brands additional parts may be required that we may not be able to source.

FITMENT REQUIREMENTSThe air cups should fit any brand of coilovers, as long as they meet the requirements below.
Make sure the dimensions match your coilover, we strongly recommend to measure with a caliper. You will also need to ensure you have adequate clearance on your car to support the cups.

MEASUREMENTS measurements Springs
• The outer diameter must be less than 99mm.
• The inner diameter must be 61 mm or more.

Coilover shaft
• Measure the thickest part of the coilover shaft. Kits are available for coilover shaft diameters:12,5mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm and 22mm

SPRINGS measurements

Linear springs
The air cup lift system will only fit on linear springs, it will not fit on ''shaped'' springs as shown in the figure. If you have ''shaped'' springs, it's often possible to install linear springs.

High spring rates
If you're using extreme high spring rates, higher than the original rates that came with your coilovers, then it's possible that you can't use the full 50mm lift from the air cups. Due to the extreme high spring rates, the weight of the car won't compress the springs and damper enough to create a stroke for the air cups to lift. This can be solved by using helper springs.

DIMENSIONS measurements

• The diameter of the air cup is 120 mm.
• The fitting is 17mm.

The air cup is only 20mm thick in the lowest position. Depending on your coilovers and vehicle, the air cups will generally take up 20 to 30mm of space. If you have enough travel left on your coilovers to lower it, this won't be a problem. If not, you can install shorter springs to compensate.

HOW DOES IT WORK? measurements

The air cup is mounted on the top of the spring and just acts like a spacer. When you put pressure in the system, the air cup will expand and the car will raise up to 50mm. The air cup lift system does not affect the ride quality and performance of your coilovers.

• Max total car weight: 2000 kg / 4400 lbs (or max axle weight: 1300 kg / 2850 lbs)
