hey guys new to driftworks and am currently hunting down a ride, but in the mean time i have been doing a few things with a programme called cinema 4d which i have been learning for a few years now (its like what they use for pixar movies)! and i have done a few renders of an s13 hope you like
cheers davisyip yeah the white is my fave too, its taken me a while cos usually the white comes out shitty grey buut finally got the lighing right. i was gunna animate it but i think my mac will die if i try. hopefully this wont be virtual soon if i can get my hands on a motor!
Bet ur eyes were hurting after creating them on ur mac must of took a while I think some guys on here will be asking u to put ur skills to work for them. u could make some wonga from it
Some serious talent going on there dude, did you study a course for doing it or just download the program an have a bash at learning stuff yourself?
Not bad at all. Theres a few details in there mesh wise that could do with tweaking in places. Some of the creases have pinches in them, mainly in the front bumper and the shutlines between panels could do with some work to make them more crisp and less rounded. Give me a shout if you want some hints and tips. 2D/3D CGI artwork is what I do for a living:
U can make some good money with this kinda skill Customer comes in says how he wants his car you design it using ur mad skills then one happy customer who takes his picture to a mod shop you can't lose
You mean that you've made that S13 for the NFS Shift? OMG thats some skillz! The topicster got skills too, but like sideways.taff sayd mesh need some work
hey guys thanks for the comments i didnt study 3d design,my mate is a graphic designer and he was dabbling so i just got the program and had a bash turns out i was better than him so i helped him with a few visuals and stuff but mainly i just do stuff i like. sideways.taff - yeah the mesh is far from great, its all poly modelling and cinema 4d is not really ideal as it does not support spline patches and stuff like that so getting a smooth mesh is really a ball ache (well for me as an amateur anyways). i have tried a few other progs such as max and lightwave and maya etc but i just find cinema 4d much easier to work with in my brain. as for making any money guys, yeah i'm sure its possible but i'm just not fast enough with this stuff yet, havn't learned all the tricks to speed up work flow. although this hasn't taken me a massive amount of hours altogether, its more time getting good ref pics more than anything, oh yeah and then theres ainimation which is a whole other thing which i have bearly touched yet. if i'm honest i would much rather be weilding a spanner than a mouse but its something i do to pass the time when im not doing anything constructive. once again cheers for the comments, always like to hear what people have to say and helps me to see how i can get better.
